Life as a Mom/Full-Time Student
This is most likely my first of many posts about how I am juggling being a mom to a newborn, a wife and full-time dental student…
I will start out by saying I didn’t know I could possibly be this tired so often and still function. My Little Sunshine slept great as a newborn, but now as she is passing 4 months old, she seems to want to sleep less at night. Which, inevitably means so does mama. It isn’t even just that. Or being at school from 8:00am-4:00pm everyday without much of a lunch break most of the time. But all that combined with taking public transportation (because gas is expensive, as is parking), which on average makes my commute around 2 hours each way – It’s a lot.
I will admit, some days I wonder how much more I can take. Some days I wonder if I made the right decision to go back to school.
But then I have those bright moments while I am treating patients that remind me I am doing what I have always wanted to do. I am achieving one of my goals in life. And I’m doing it all on a blink of sleep.
